When someone new moved into a neighborhood, the "welcoming committee" always showed up with dinner to help the new family settle in. Well, we don't quite show up with dinner, but join us anyway and celebrate the Neighborhood.

Hi Michele! Thanks for accepting the invite! Lovely to make new friends :) Do you like musicals? If so, and time allows please go visit the jukebox and you’ll hear what was created down here in New Zealand in tribute to the Prophet Joseph Smith. To bear testimony of him through all that was written, musically created and performed is an experience that all who were involved, will never forget. To be able to share the music with others around the world through the Neighborhood jukebox - is truly a blessing. Enjoy!

Such beautiful pictures. I have to admit, I hate winter so bad I almost can't enjoy fall, but those pictures are breathtaking!

Michele,

I was just getting ready to log out and go to bed.

I'll definitely have to meet your husband. Any BYU fan is a friend of mine, for sure!

I can probably do lunch shortly after the first of the month. If that will work for you. Let's say Friday the 3rd. Will that work for you?

Hey Michele,

I'm just dropping by to say "hi" and see how things are going. It was so much fun to see you last night. You're looking great, my friend.

My BYU team just shut out Wyoming. Two shutouts in a row. I'm such a happy woman.

Have a great evening and we'll do lunch soon. Okay?

Welcome to the Great Gospel Music group! This is the gathering place for those who enjoy LDS music. Post reviews of your favorite artists, share news regarding performances, or make requests of other members for recommendations of artists, songs, or music to perform. Come one, come all and sing praises to the King!

Nice to meet you, too. Hope you enjoyed some of my music while cruising through. To answer your question, those statues are composer. My wife is a piano teacher, and she gives a composer statue to her students when they complete proficiency in that composer's works.

Spotlight on "Forged in the Refiner's Fire" by Candace E. Salima

Why do bad things happen? Is there a purpose when we face a bad trial? As mortals, we can be compared to ore, such as gold and silver. Ore that is unrefined is generally impure and undesirable. Only ore that is crushed -- and then refined by fire -- becomes beautiful, pure, precious and valuable. This book was written to help you see the results of the Ultimate Refiner, the Lord, in your own life.

Within these pages, people from all walks of life share their stories of triumph over tragedy. More importantly, they reveal how they were strengthened as they passed through the Refiner's fire. They became more precious, and so can you. Look for the experiences of vocalist Merrill Osmond, LDS writers Shirley Bahlmann, Elizabeth Cheever, Willard Boyd Gardner, Tristi Pinkston, and Candace E. Salima, renowned columnist Muriel Sluyter and several people across the nation who are ranchers, housewives, writers in the national market and more.

Candace E. Salima partnered with Elizabeth Cheever to co-author this book. They feel very privileged to have been the ones to bring this story to the world.
